I’m a registered Republican, but I ended up voting for Gary Johnson in 2016. I wanted to vote for someone I trusted and who I felt good about, and I didn’t feel that with either of those two candidates. However, I did think that Hillary would win and mine would be a throwaway vote. When she didn’t win, I had an initial feeling of dread.
